Hi! My name is Jan and I am glad to see you here :)
I am 22 years old and my birthday is on the 4th of January! Right now, I am studying chemistry in germany. I'll start my bachelor's thesis this autumn, actually (send help...).
When I am not in uni, I spend time (and snuggle) with my babby ♥ ♥ ♥ or meet my friends (or both :P) Together, we watch movies in the cinema, play video- or boardgames and engage in a lot of silly tomfoolery. Some examples will
be provided on this website in the future! :3
When the off-season is finally over, we are also going to be going to games of the Koelner Haie again! Ice hockey is an amazing sport and offers a lot of exciting action :) I rarely ever get bored watching it on the telly
or live, which isnt true for most sports for me (looking at you, boring football broadcasts) My best friend and me even own a "Dauerkarte", so we go to (almost) every game together ★ Here is to hoping my babby get's one

I seriously hate the state of the internet and most consumer electronics right now, so I had a desire to go back. When I heard about the Indie Web, I got very curious and checked it out. I think the fact that I immediately
made my own website says enough about my enjoyment of the indie web so far ;) It just feels great to be back in an environment without algorithms and ads. I hope we are all going to have a great time together ♥

My hobbies
Videogames
I looooooove ♥ ♥ ♥ videogames! My first console was my very own DsI (that I still have to this day!). It was a christmas gift from my parents when I was five years old :P
I plastered it with stickers that I got at a Nintendo event in Hamburg back in 2010 I believe. Here it is:
I wouldnt change a thing :) On this DS, I played a looot of Professor Layton. I recently began playing the Layton games with my girlfriend, it's gonna be epic!
My parents already owned a PS2 before I was born, so naturally, they let me have a go too. Together with my dad, I played an unbelievable amount of Gran Turismo 3 and 4. These two games are still in my personal top 5 of all time!
I have never beaten them fully tho (which might be due to the insame amount of content in them) For anyone that doesnt know those games and wants a fun, non-linear racing game experience that lets you rise through the ranks all
the way from your neighbor's broken twingo to a Le Mans racing machine, these games might scrath that itch for u! Although I never got the hear it in-game myself, the full opening of Gran Turismo 4 might be the most epic opening
in all of videogame history (rivaled by the Halo series). Moon Over the Castle is an insane jazz fusion masterpiece that gets complimented by an opera opening truly fitting for the best racing game of all time.

There is so much more to say about my love for videogames, but I wanna keep it short! In the future, I want to implement a whole section just for videogames, so keep an eye out if you wanna hear more!
Icehockey
For most of my life, I didnt really know icehockey even existed. Let me tell you the story of how that all changed...:
When I moved to cologne and started my first semester, every student was handed a welcome-bag by the student council that included some useful goodies to support u. (the legendary Ersti-Bag) The content of
every bag was slightly different, so every bag contained a different surprise. When I opened my bag, I discareded all the flyers that were just advertisements and kept those that looked interesting. One of the interesting
ones was from the cologne-based hockey team "Koelner Haie" that offered two free seats in the nosebleeds for a match against the Pinguins Bremerhaven!
I was happy but didnt pay it much attention at first since the last time I watched an ice hockey match was in 2015 with my father. A few hours later, my then new and my now best friend texted me and asked whether I wanted to
attend the game with her! I said yes and the rest is history :) We both have a Dauerkarte now and attend almost every game. My girlfriend
and my friends also try to come to games as often as possible! Its very fun to be able to do this together with them :3

I just wanna have fun with this!!! This page made me feel the joy of the internet and personalization again. Every page is supposed to have its own
distinct identity, all drawing different inspirations from various aesthetics I like! Right now, there are three
subcategories on this page:

In my ice hockey section, I just want to ramble about my favorite sport! I will talk about anything current, past or future
(if I have the time!) Soon, the season will start, so expect a lot to come. I plan to make a little blog that I am gonna use to talk about
every game I attend next season :3

- An addition to the rink that includes the current standings, results and scorer lists for the Haie
